Window coverings as architecture
Window coverings do real work — especially in Arizona. They cut heat and glare, hold privacy, and soften a room full of hard surfaces. I scale them to the window (tall, arched, transom), draw the eye up to make the most of ceiling height, and choose the mechanism — drapery, tailored shades, motorized — for how the room is actually used, not just how it photographs.
