What it's like on the other side of the project.

Kim didn't just design my space — she took time to understand how we live. She listened to my ideas and my budget, helped me refine my vision, and understood that I was looking for both aesthetic appeal and functionality. She helped me find the perfect balance between my style and what would feel comfortable for the other members of my family. She made the whole process feel personal and collaborative. I couldn't have asked for a better “design experience.”

Kim designed two full bathrooms for our Southwest-style home, meshing beautifully with our existing style when most stores carry overwhelmingly modern options. She listened and found what we like — and she knows all the best places to find just the right tile, from the floor to the shower to the tub surround, whether brick-and-mortar or online. Her installer and cabinet makers are true craftsmen, right down to the soft-close mechanisms and finishes. To round it out she chose complementary accents like a hammered copper sink and a highly styled mirror. We're thrilled with the final product and unreservedly recommend Kim and her team.

Working with Kim has been a completely different experience from simply hiring someone to decorate an apartment. From our first conversations, she took the time to understand the property, how I wanted it to function as an Airbnb, and the kind of experience I wanted guests to have. What impressed me most was her ability to look at the existing apartment and see possibilities I hadn't considered — how guests would actually use the space, where it could work harder, and how the design could give it an identity that would help it stand out in the Tirana rental market. When she presented the concept, I could see the apartment differently. The project has not yet been implemented, so I can't speak to the finished space yet — but the concept alone showed me the value of someone thinking about the property from both a design and a guest-experience perspective.
