The challenge

A layout with privacy issues and significant safety concerns. We needed to maximize function while staying in the existing footprint — an open walk-in shower and two clear sink zones, without the room feeling stark.

The approach

I reworked the layout to maximize the footprint and function. The tub gave way to a functional walk-in shower, and a black-grid glass screen keeps it open and airy while containing the water. Double sinks bring functional storage. A sliding barn door provides privacy and visual interest while reclaiming the space the old door's swing wasted. Wood tones warm the black-and-white scheme, and the tile adds interest against the stark field tile.

Working with Kim was an absolute pleasure from start to finish.
